CANDIDATE MANAGEMENT -> ‘Content’ Tab


The Summary page provides information about the current packet, and the candidate's packet history in Advance

  • The candidate's packet history may not be complete as Advance historical records only go back to around 2002
  • If there are inconsistencies in the data, please contact your Dean's Office
  • This page also displays the certifications that have been collected during the packet review process: Candidate, Chair, Dean, etc.

CV page: provides a view of the candidate's CV as copied into the active packet. You can use the filters (top of the CV, on the right) to look at some or all of the CV data.


Attachments: Allows you to attach certain types of documents. To attach a document to this page:

  • Browse for a document to attach (must be in PDF format)
  • Select an attachment type from the dropdown list (Warning: some Attachment Types can be viewed by the candidate and some cannot; be careful to select the appropriate type when attaching the document)
  • Click upload to attach the selected document

Teaching Evaluations: Allows you to attach teaching evaluations in PDF format. These should be redacted before uploading.

  • Browse for a document to attach (must be in PDF format)
  • Enter a description for the attachment (name it in a way that helps a reviewer understand what it is: e.g., Med231 Seminar Fall 2010)
  • Click upload to attach the selected document

References: Allows you to see the name and other information about referees. This is exactly what a reviewer sees. You can tell whether or not the referee(s) have been contacted by the email date. If the referee has provided a reference, you can use the hyperlink to view what was submitted. If you need to work on the references section, navigate to Packet > Manage References.


Chair Letter: Allows you to view what the chair or other reviewers have entered, and/or to enter text for the chair. You can save the Chair Letter as a draft, but only the Chair can certify the letter.


Dean Letter: Allows you to view what the Dean or other reviewers have entered, and/or to enter text for the Dean. You can save the Dean Letter as a draft, but only the Dean can certify the letter.
